Wisp of Thought

See that leaf curled up there
Snuggling against the sunlight
As the first rays of dawn caress its face
As the wind blows fast, inciting fright
As the pretty flower emanates pure, pure delight

See those winds, playfully tossing things about
See the gentle, smiling smile
Can you hear the small birds shout?
The beautiful trill, for a while

Think deeper, look into life
At the green grass swinging
Swaying to unchanted, enchanted tones

And everything has a fresh tinge
On the mossy doorstep, a hinge

Darkness may creep with black talons
But what is the dark
Except absence of light?
So smile in pure, blissful delight

Let the colours bloom
Let them conquer the gloom
And look with a cheeky, cheerful face
At man’s lonely doom
